Hamsters haven
I was so bored today so I did some research on hamsters.. here are my findings...
If you dont already know I use to have 6 hamsters in my house. Technically speaking 4 were mine n 2 belonged to Rupen.. After some terrible hamster fights between blackie and my fatties... now 4 are his and 2 are mine.. apart from care bears , hamsters are the next bestest thing.. ok here are my findings..
This is Blackie..so handsome right.. Black is my favorite.. cos he looks different... he has a white stripe across his chest on the underside and now he has a scar across his eye.. GANGSTER ! 
Goldie is a pretty girl.. she is even more pretty now that she is staying with rupen... Both Goldie and Blackie are Campbell Drawf Russian Hamsters.
A LITTLE HISTORY:
The Campbells Russian hamster, Phodopus campbelli, was named in honor of W.C. Campbell, who captured one of these fine hamsters in Tuva, Mongolia in July of 1902. It is also commonly referred to as the Djungarian hamster because it commonly lives in a region in Mongolia known as Djungaria. Campbells Russians can also be found in northern China, central Asia and parts of Russia.
Batman, Robin and Fatties
Batman, Robin and my 2 fatties.. (yes i call them fatties .. i tried calling them other things but that name stuck). They are all winter whites.
The difference
The Winter White Russian hamster is often confused with it's very similar cousin, the Campbells Dwarf Russian, don't feel bad if you don't know which you have. For many years even scientists classified them as the same hamster, then they considered the Winter White a subspecies of the Campbells and only recently have they become classified as two separate species.
