Five For Fighting
Something About You
I don’t know where to begin
I don’t know how to get out there to see you
I don’t know where to dig in.
I don’t know how to get in there…to feel you
It’s been to long and I’m about to be in time for me
It’s been to long and I’m in time
Baby there’s something about you that
I can hold on to
I’m going to hold on to that
Baby there’s something about you that
I can hold on to
I’m going to hold on to that
I never thought I would win
I never thought much about that.
(It’s been a long time coming)
I never stopped to begin
Thinking about the process.
(It’s been a long time coming)
It’s been to long and I’m about to be in time for me
It’s been to long and I’m in time
Baby there’s something about you that
I can hold on to
I’m going to hold on to that
Baby there’s something about you that
I can hold on to
I’m going to hold on to that
I don’t know where to begin
I don’t know how to get out there to see you
Baby there’s something about you that
I can hold on to
I’m going to hold on to that
Baby there’s something about you that
I can hold on to
I’m going to hold on to that
It’s been a long time coming
I’m going to hold on to that
And I’m going to be there…be there…alright

My friend the communist
Holds meetings in his RV
I can't afford his gas
So I'm stuck here watching tv
I don't have digital
I don't have diddly squat
It's not having what you want
It's wanting what you've got
I'm gonna soak up the sun
I'm gonna tell everyone
To lighten up (I'm gonna tell 'em that)
I've got no one to blame
For every time I feel lame
I'm looking up
I'm gonna soak up the sun
I'm gonna soak up the sun
I've got a crummy job
It don't pay near enough
To buy the things it takes
To win me some of your love
Every time I turn around
I'm looking up, you're looking down
Maybe something's wrong with you
That makes you act the way you do
I'm gonna soak up the sun
I'm gonna tell everyone
To lighten up (I'm gonna tell 'em that)
I've got no one to blame
For every time I feel lame
I'm looking up
I'm gonna soak up the sun
I'm gonna soak up the sun
I'm gonna soak up the sun
While it's still free
I'm gonna soak up the sun
Before it goes out on me
Don't have no master suite
I'm still the king of me
You have a fancy ride, but baby
I'm the one who has the key
Every time I turn around
I'm looking up, you're looking down
Maybe something's wrong with you
That makes you act the way you do
Maybe I am crazy too
I'm gonna soak up the sun
I'm gonna tell everyone
To lighten up (I'm gonna tell 'em that)
I've got no one to blame
For every time I feel lame
I'm looking up
I'm gonna soak up the sun
I'm gonna soak up the sun
I'm gonna soak up the sun
Got my 45 on
So I can rock on

Don't play with fire. Thats wat they all say. Well lets just say u wouldn't know how fun it is to play with fire until u tried..... I did and I don't regret a single moment of it.... The new adventures this new "life" has brought me is way beyond what I can conprehen.. The attention, the glitz and the fun.. and most importantly the people.. I love the people... I believe many ppl will look at me now and go " What has happened to her?" Well... Life has happened to her and she is not going to turn back...
Word of advice: Don't take things as they are.. u have to experience to learn and grow..

Your beauty is amazing
Your grace, stunning.
You have an air about yourself
that no one else have.
You never fail to amaze me
At how you balance your time
How you manage to work
yet always being able to stay alert
Yes at times we quarrel
Yes at times we fight
Your views never match mine
Yet no matter how much we fight
And how much we quarrel,
We are still able to slove all the squabbles
Mummy I love you
More than you can imagine
Mummy I care for you
yet i find it hard to show
Your love for me moves me
Your care for me melts my heart
I just wanna say
All your worries will pay
I will make you proud of me
I will let u rest
You will get to ride a car
And have a nice house to live in
You will have all you ask
Just you wait and see
Right now I can't give you much
But what I can give you is this
A promise of a stable future
And one where you will not have to worry anymore
I LOVE YOU , MUMMY

I took and deep breath and savoured my surroundings. Everything looked the same. The grass was as lushy as ever and the trees were in there familiar spots. The air was dry and humid. The sky was cloudless. This resulted in the sun sending its rays down to earth mercilessly. As the strolled down the path, the dried leaves rustled under my feet. Everything thing looked the same.
I pictured myself running up that hill. I would be half panting half laughing. The long grass would tickle my feet and the love grass would cling on to my socks. Ah.. those ever the days. Those were the days when I had not seen the world. Those were the days when my parents were still young. I have seen them aged over the years. From a young couple who knows nuts about rasing kids to a couple who are wise beyond their years.
The hill would always be there to remind of the time when my father was still young and healthy.
My father is a man of few words but big actions. He does not know how to express himself through words. It could be his chinese up bring, but what ever it is, his actions are louder than words. I remebered the days when I was in primary school. On fridays, I would sit at and desk waiting for school the end. When the bell rang, obediently lined up and walked to the canteen to be dismissed. And there he would be without fail. He would come up to me, take my school bag from my and ask me how was my day. Then, we would take a slow walk home. On my way home, he never fail to buy me an ice cream ( that could have resulted in me being a sweet tooth up to this age) . Every week he would do it without fail. On one particular day, I dropped my ice cream. I was devastated. Well, my father said he would buy me 2 next week. And true to his word, I got 2 ice cream the following week. He always dotes on me. Until this age, he never faiils to ask me for my needs. When I ask for something, he always gave it to me. Now at his age of 50, it pains me to see him working so hard for the family. I want him to stop and relax. His age is catching up with him and so is his health. Some times I wish I can just make him and mummy stop working and let me do all the work. "Daddy, I promise you that you would not have to work once I go out there. You will have anything you ask for and I will make you proud. I love you Daddy."
